Strategic Software Limited launches StrategicIMX

Strategic Software Limited launches StrategicIMX, the next generation of business tools to support maritime communities. StrategicIMX is the first in a range of web enabled workflow tools, the foundation of which has been developed through Strategic's existing software.

StrategicIMX mirrors current industry business practices utilising the internet technology platform. Strategic products and services can seamlessly integrate with MaritimeData shipping information to enable users to post, receive, exchange, check and manage current market information in real-time via the internet. The new generation of tools will be available on-line, over a secure server base assuring all users of the highest levels of protection and reliability.

Strategic, celebrating its 18th year in the shipping sector, has gained strong backing from the industry for the IMX project. E.A. Gibson, Poten & Partners, Ispat Shipping, JC O'Keeffe Shipbroking Limited, The Torvald Klaveness Group and banchero costa have been crucial to the development of StrategicIMX. Other major industry players including McQuilling Brokerage, Charles R. Weber Company, Dietze & Associates LLC and Odin Marine Inc. are also actively supporting the StrategicIMX project in North America.

StrategicIMX has been specifically designed to help shipping communities. As a networking tool, the goal for the project is to support all industry players. Brendan Martin, EA Gibson, stated that 'the IMX is a tool for the industry, compiled by a cross-section of industry members and for the use of the whole shipping sector. The tool can support users who work closely as part of a shipping community and give industry players a tool in which to make new contacts, should they wish to do so.'

Forming partnerships with significant players in the industry, Shipbrokers, Charterers and Shipowners, has been imperative. Rashid Jamalalldeen, CEO at Strategic stated 'We want to be sure we are always at the forefront of industry requirements and, in order to meet them, it is essential that we have the full backing of people within the marketplace'.

StrategicIMX is presently undergoing pre-release testing with the Founder Member Group and full access will follow early next year.
